Adventures of Kim & Kay

USA

The Adventures of Kim & Kay was a project commissioned by Kayvon Webster, former NFL cornerback, aimed at creating a children’s animation that conveys a message of perseverance, teaching kids the importance of never giving up on their dreams. The biggest challenge was integrating Kayvon himself as one of the main characters and incorporating American football as the central theme of the animation.

In light of this challenge, I developed, in partnership with director Mario Pece, the story of Kim, a 10-year-old girl, awkward and dreamy, who, upon discovering an NFL board game with magical powers, releases a small and mischievous djinn. In her innocence, Kim expresses the desire to become an NFL player, just like her idol, Kayvon Webster. To the surprise of both, the djinn calls Kayvon directly to Kim’s room, and, although reluctant, he finds himself forced to help Kim become a high-level athlete.

In addition to contributing to the development of the story concept, I was responsible for creating the script and co-directing the pilot episode, which was produced entirely by Stratostorm Animation Studio.
